  • No mandatory account. Not required for core use.
  • No third-party tracking. No analytics or advertising SDKs.

2. Data the App Handles

  • Vaccination record data (for example: vaccine name, dates, provider details, notes, batch number)
  • Post-vaccination observation data (for example: symptoms, severity, actions taken)
  • Document/image assets related to records
  • OCR text extracted from scanned images
  • Local reminder scheduling metadata

3. How Data Is Used

Data is used to provide app functionality, including:

  • Displaying and organizing vaccination timelines
  • Creating and editing records
  • Extracting text from scanned documents on device
  • Scheduling local reminder notifications

4. Permissions

  • Camera: Used only for scanning vaccination document pages.
  • Notifications: Used only for reminder alerts when enabled by the user.

You can control permissions in iOS Settings at any time.

5. Data Retention

Data remains on device until you delete it or remove the app. Retention duration is controlled by your own app usage and deletion actions.

6. Children’s Data

VaxLedger is intended for parents/guardians to manage child vaccination records. Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right to input and manage the data they provide.

7. Security

We apply reasonable technical measures in the app architecture (local storage, platform security controls). Keep your device protected with passcode/biometrics and current OS updates.
