Tenmo Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Tenmo (“the App”) respects your privacy. This policy describes how we treat your data.

2. Storage and Processing

• Local only: All content you submit in the App (including but not limited to daily emoji entries and optional city name) is stored only on your device.
• No account: You do not need to register or sign in to use the App.
• No server upload: We do not upload your journal content or city information to any of our servers.

3. Location

• The App requests When In Use location permission only when you choose to use the “fill city from location” feature.
• We use the location only to reverse-geocode a city name and save that city name locally on your device.
• We do not store or transmit your coordinates, precise location, or any other raw location data.

4. Data Collection

• We do not collect or aggregate your personally identifiable information or journal content.
• If you install the App via TestFlight or the public store, we may receive anonymous crash or usage statistics (subject to your device and Apple settings); such data does not include your entries.

5. Third Parties

The App does not include third-party advertising or analytics SDKs. Location and reverse geocoding are performed by system services; we only use the returned city name text.

6. Children’s Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe your child has used the location feature without your consent, we recommend disabling the App’s location permission in system settings.

7. Updates

We may update this policy from time to time; the updated version will be posted with a new effective date. Material changes will be communicated where possible via in-app or app store release notes.
